Canadian Government Matching Famine Relief Donations
June 16, 2017
Feeding Centres in South Sudan Saving Lives. Regina saved her children from fighting in their town in South Sudan when she moved them to a protection camp. But a lack of food threatened the life of her son Kai. Fortunately, with partners at CFGB, a PWS&D-supported feeding centre treated him for malnutrition.
South Sudan, gripped by civil war, has seen 1.5 million people flee. Having left their homes and farms in search of safety, many families are without a way to produce or buy food. Famine is the result of conflict displacing thousands daily. Through its Famine Relief Fund, the Government of Canada is matching eligible donations designated for famine relief in 10 countries until June 30, 2017. Help PWS&D alleviate hunger and malnutrition in South Sudan. Make a donation today and your life-saving support will go even further. *Donations to PWS&D-supported work in South Sudan are also matched 4:1 through our partnership with Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
