Many of you know about—and have participated in—the ministry provided by First United Church to the Downtown Eastside community. Over their 135-year history they have evolved to meet their community’s needs, but those needs have now grown beyond what their current 60-year-old church can safely support.

They have decided to redevelop their site with a larger, purpose-built facility. The first four floors will provide space for programs and services. Above this community space, additional stories will provide 105 units of non-market rental housing, created in partnership with Lu’ma Native Housing Society and multiple levels of government operators.

Please see attaced file for more information about their ReDevelopment Initiative.
