 Condolences
We extend our deepest condolences to Jane Leemin Chou whose brother - Joe Juh Yu - passed away last week. The memorial ceremony is this Friday and his ashes will be interred later in April. Grief is never a trivial matter. We cannot know the fullness of the grief of our friends. Still we empathize and walk with them. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”    Job 1:21
DonationsGathering Doanations to provide seasonal comfort

As followers of Christ, we believe God’s love knows no bounds. God came down in human form and moved into the neighborhood in the person of Jesus (John 1). He healed the sick, nourished the hungry, and dismantled systems of injustice. We are committed to reflecting such a life through the practice of generous hospitality towards all.

Each year as the weather turns cooler, we gather items that will provide seasonal comfort to those in need in the downtown east side through First United Church https://firstunited.ca/. The following donations are warmly welcomed!

Toques, Gloves, Hand warmers
NEW Adult socks (medium + large size)
NEW Men’s boxer briefs (medium + large size)
NEW Women's underwear (medium)
Toothbrushes, Travel-size toothpaste, Razors

Please drop off your donations at KPC before or after Sunday services until December 17th. We will take them to First United the week before Christmas.

For anyone who has had the misfortune to discover that some of the chocolate bars from their original purchase have gone "missing", Never fear for we are here! We will have a supply of bars available at the Kerrisdale Christmas Concert on Friday Dec 15.  No need to be embarrassed. If you need to restock your supply and avoid the Christmas panic, we can help you avoid this potentially awkward situation. To borrow a phrase from the Boy Scout program "We promise to do our best". The new series of photo cards will also be available. These cards feature some beautiful photos taken by T & E at the VanDusen Festival of Lights. The previous series of cards will also be available. We hope our supply of cards will meet the demand and if there is enough interest, we would consider taking orders for later delivery. The Refugee Committee would like to thank the congregation for enabling T & E's relocation to Canada. We invite you to join us for a light lunch in the lounge after this Sunday's (17th) service. Our refugee couple is planning to join us.  If you have not yet done so, please sign T & E's Christmas card. This will be a great memento of their first Christmas in Canada. Please note that we will not have any items for sale this Sunday but will offer them at the 5pm Christmas Eve Service and possibly the Kerrisdale 10am and 7pm services.
