This is a reminder to bring your Lenten Calendar donations (cash or cheque) to church on Easter Sunday. Please put donations in the bottle on the Welcome table labelled with Lenten Calendar Donations, Refugee Sponsorship Fund. Your donations will be used to support our next sponsorship. Cheques should be made payable to KPC, (with Refugee Fund on the memo line). Cash should be in an envelope with your name and labelled Refugee Fund. You can also donate using the Kerrisdale Church website. THIS LINK takes you directly to the online donation page. Simply enter the amount of your donation, click the CHANGE button (next to KPC General Fund) and scroll down to select Refugee Sponsorship Fund. Continue down the page to enter your billing and credit card information. The Refugee Committee is very grateful for your generous support. The G-3 Group (Games, Giggles and Gab) will meet at Crofton Manor on the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. The next date is April 11. We hope you'll mark the date on your agenda so we can bring fun and laughter to some of the residents. We have been successful in doing just that during our previous meetings. It is very gratifying to hear a good, hearty laugh from these folks. The next KPC men's breakfast will be on May 4 instead of Ap. 6.
Stan Yen will be the speaker on May 4. The Executive Director of Camp Douglas, Lucy "Taffy" has organized spring daycamps for ages 9-13 years old, a series at Richmond PC for 4 Saturdays in April, and a series at SASS in North Van on 4 Sat/Sun afternoons in May/June.  These are meant to reach beyond the host church congregations, so kids & friends from KPC and elsewhere are encouraged. This is the first time running this kind of program (not counting the summer daycamp replacement for overnight camps as we were coming out of covid), and look forward to more registrations by late March to make it viable. Richmond Day Camps link: https://www.campdouglas.ca/events/doug-day-camp-richmond/2024-04-06 N Van Day Camps link: https://www.campdouglas.ca/events/doug-day-camp-north-vancouver/2024-05-18 We also have a fundraising raffle ongoing: $20 per ticket, the prize is a stay at a luxury villa in the Canary Islands. Raffle link: https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/campdouglasBoth the daycamps and the raffle close at the end of March, so please register as soon as possible. Also, summer camp registration is open.  This year we have a new Adventure Camp for a week in July, and a longer Youth Camp at the beginning of August, as well as our usual Small Fry, Junior, Intermediate, and LIT camps. Registration prices are lower before the end of May. Camperships are available, but sponsorships from KPC would also be welcome. Camp dates link: https://www.campdouglas.ca/summer-program/camps
