Try to attend the church service in person on Oct 20.The Refugee Committee will be hosting the Coffee Hour afterwards with Elaha providing baked goodies. If you haven't tasted Afghan baking before, this will be the perfect occasion to enjoy something unique. Some of us can speak from experience! For those of you who are worried about calories, stories have circulated for decades that any calories consumed at church functions do not have to be counted! That vital bit of information may actually have come from an ancient scroll (an ancient church newsletter?l).
On a more serious note, our Sponsorship Application is now in the hands of the Government. They are reviewing it before handing it off to the Embassy in Pakistan. We will keep you posted.
